Combine that with lots of trees and mature landscaping, houses with character and convenient access to the city’s top restaurants and nightlife and it isn’t surprising Hyde Park is one of the more desirable Central Austin neighborhoods.  Homes in Central Austin’s Hyde Park neighborhood are anywhere from a large Victorian mansion to a cozy bungalow to duplexes and small apartment buildings. The majority of the homes were built between 1910 – 1950 and most are smaller bungalows with wrap around porches. Hyde Park is the neighborhood for the person who likes houses with character. This isn’t a newer single family home subdivision with 3 floor plans. Almost every home is different.
